Personnel Control 24 Motorcycles Illegally Parked in Cilandak

South Jakarta Transportation Sub-agency, Thursday (5/15), controlled 24 motorcycles parked on sidewalk on Jalan Kaimun, Cilandak Barat.

Hopefully this can increase public awareness

Sub-agency's Operational Manager, Ebenezer Lumban Tobing said those motorcycles were grounded and ticketed by police.

According to him, the illegal parking operation was carried out to provide a deterrent effect for drivers who stubbornly park their vehicles in prohibited places.

"Hopefully this can increase public awareness regarding parking regulations in order to maintain regional conduciveness," he said.

Meanwhile, one of Cilandak Barat residents, Akbar (34), appreciated the sub-agency for responding resident's report about illegal parking.

"We appreciate the personnel since it creates safe and well-managed area," he admitted.
